Bio

Clint Baker

As a born and raised Calgarian who grew up on his family's miniature horse farm west of the city, country music is in his roots. Inspired by rockabilly music from the 50s’ and 60s’ and his love for honest songwriting, Clint is developing his own brand of country. His musical influences include legendary artists such as Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley, as well as contemporary artists like Dwight Yoakam, Chris Stapleton, and Brandi Carlile. He has also served as a worship leader at a local Baptist church, where he discovered his love for harmonies and gospel music.

Clint's first public performance came at age 16 as a competitor in the Calgary Stampede Talent Search, where he reached the semi-final round of the competition. Since then, Clint has been working hard to establish himself in the local country music scene, both as a songwriter and performer. Notable performance credits include the Ranchman's Cookhouse and Dancehall Main Stage, a regular feature on the Calgary Stampede Window on the West Stage, and a recent headlining gig at the Twin Cities Hotel in Longview, Alberta.

His mission is to create heartfelt music that brings out emotion in his listeners.

Sarah Scott - Drive Home Show Host and Producer of Made In Alberta at Sun Country 99.7 FM

"Clint has beautifully rich vocals that resonate in any room, studio, or musical setting. That was the first thing I noticed. Then came his songwriting - meaningful, from the heart, and story driven - his songs really capture your emotions and heart. And at the end of the day, he's also just a really genuine human, who I'd love to see, see great success."

Megan Dawson, Canadian Country Music Artist

"Clint Baker is an extremely well-rounded artist, songwriter and performer. His continued drive, hard work and talent make him such a joy to work and collaborate with. He will undoubtedly make an immense impact on the music industry."

Neil Baker - Stage Manager of the Window on the West Stage at the Calgary Stampede

"I have been fortunate to have witnessed Clint as a solo artist, part of a dual act & the lead vocalist of a group a number of times over the last few years as he appeared on the Calgary Stampede Window on the West Stage and the Calgary Stampede Weadickville Stage. With a memorable deep voice, Clint never disappoints, drawing and retaining people to our stages with his own original music or renditions of other artists songs like Johnny Cash's 'Ring of Fire' or 'Folsom Prison Blues.'"

Bob Pearson - Special Programming Coordinator at Heritage Park Historical Village

"Clint’s  show was just perfect for Music in the Plaza. A nice mix of familiar  tunes and original songs provided a great evening for all. The show had a  nice, upbeat feel perfect for listening and it even got more than a few  folks up and dancing. Clint Baker is a great crowd pleaser!"

Alix Cowman - Festival Director for 15 Minutes of Fame Music Festival

"Clint Baker and his brother Alex were a pleasure to hire for our music festival. Clint was friendly, gracious, and easy to work with, and his sound on stage was engaging and electric. His rockabilly sound and good-natured stage presence kept us entertained for the entirety of his set. We'd gladly have Clint Baker at 15 Minutes of Fame again!"
